Welcome to A New Plate

Many people have inquired about my lifestyle change, so I decided to create a blog about it! I am posting my favorite brands, recipes and tips on where to find these products.

{I am not endorsing any store or brand and I am not providing nutritional advice. I am simply describing my favorite ingredients and products.}

I used to lead a healthy lifestyle. Then in 2006, a major change in my life (moving) led me into a downward spiral. For 4 years, I adopted an unhealthy lifestyle. Last year, I was able to make a major change in my life (moved back to the east coast) and happily started over again.

I primarily follow the Clean Eating philosophy. After viewing Food, Inc. I cut meat out of my diet. I have never liked chicken, so that was an easy thing to cut out too. From time to time, I eat meat that was hunted, or from a farm that treats animals humanely. Chipotle is my favorite place to eat meat. You can read about their policy on Food With Integrity.

{I am not suggesting that people should not eat meat, merely describing my choices regarding the topic and why I came to that decision.}
